EU Funding opportunities through the European Social Fund

MEUSAC article published in Voice of the Workers Weekly – 04.08.2020

The European Social Fund (ESF) is the EU’s main programme for supporting jobs, helping people get better jobs and ensuring fairer job opportunities for all EU citizens. The Programme thus focuses on employment, social inclusion, education and capacity-building.

The ESF programme finances Malta’s Operational Programme II for 2014 – 2020, entitled: Investing in human capital to create more opportunities and promote the wellbeing of society. Currently, there is an open call for applications under this programme, which call will contribute to the following Priority Axes (PA): PA 2 – Towards a more inclusive society, and PA4 – Building the institutional administrative capacity.

PA2 aims to support measures which will enable each individual to realise his/her potential and enable vulnerable persons to make a success of their future.

PA4 aims to support measures which will enable stakeholders to have the necessary expertise and knowledge to actively participate in the socio-economic dialogue leading to an enhanced and more effective policy-making process.

The maximum grant amount for this call per project is of €100,000 – this excludes the 20% co-financing share to be financed by the beneficiary.

The deadline to submit a proposal is September 30, 2020.

Kindly contact MEUSAC on 2200 3300 or info.meusac@gov.mt for assistance in developing a proposal to apply for this call.
