The European Council (Art. 50) adopted conclusions on Brexit, the Multti-Annual Financial Framework (MFF) and external relations, among on other agenda items.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Theresa May informed the leaders about the difficulties with ratifying the deal in London and asked for further assurances that would, in her view, unlock the ratification process in the House of Commons.
In remarks following Day 1 of EUCO, European Council President Tusk said: “After discussing Prime Minister May’s intervention among the EU27, and bearing in mind our full respect for the parliamentary process in the United Kingdom, the following was agreed.”
