Automated Translation

The priority outcomes of this call for proposals are to contribute to only one of the following objectives:
• to stimulate the language resources collection for specific domains of interest to specific pan-European public services (CEF Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs) or other public sector services relevant to the CEF DSIs or to the Digital Single
Market in general) in order to improve the quality and coverage of automated translation offered by CEF Automated Translation platform.


• to integrate, use and extend the Automated Translation platform in other relevant multilingual, cross-border European digital services, including:

o CEF DSIs or other public services of direct importance to and/or connecting with the CEF DSIs

o projects aimed to foster the adoption of the multilingual best practice and architectures in public services (for example, by adapting the architecture of such services in order to benefit from the Automated Translation Building Block)
o projects benefitting from Automated Translation which promote the emergence of the Digital Single Market (e.g. in areas such as cross-border eCommerce).

Eligible applicants are Member States; or international organisations, Joint Undertakings or public or private undertakings and bodies established in Member States, with the agreement of the MS or EEA countries concerned. Applications should be submitted by consortia which include early adopters and operators of DSIs and relevant solution/service providers.

Cyber Security

Funding under this call will support the n/g CERTs/CSIRTs to create, maintain or expand national capacities to run a range of cyber security services, in order to reach a state of preparedness that will allow them to participate on an equal footing in the cooperation mechanisms and core
cooperation platform established through the 2015 work programme.

Funding will be granted as an incentive for Member States to develop their cyber security capacity for participating in the cooperation platform and mechanisms set up by the work programme 2015, including one or both of the following:


· activities for increasing the preparedness of the n/g CERTs/CSIRTs (e.g. development or acquisition of better tools for analysis, identification, and detection of threats, awareness campaigns, services to local agents)

· the establishment of access points from the n/g CERTs/CSIRTs to the cooperation mechanisms (e.g. secure devices and software, interfaces, gateways, translation of local tools into common formats)


Eligible applicants are Member States; or international organisations, Joint Undertakings or public or private undertakings and bodies established in Member States, with the agreement of the MS or EEA countries concerned.

eInvoicing

The priority outcomes of this call for proposals are defined in Section 3.5.2.2 of the 2016 work programme. Applications must support one of the two activities below:


1) Uptake of eInvoicing solutions by public authorities
2) Support the implementation of the EN in existing eInvoicing solutions

Eligible applicants are Member States; or international organisations, Joint Undertakings or public or private undertakings and bodies established in Member States, with the agreement of the MS or EEA countries concerned.

Europeana

The objective is to showcase the cultural treasures of Europe and to tell and illustrate gripping European stories on the Europeana platform in the form of thematic collections, taking visitors on a curated journey through Europe's rich and diverse cultural heritage. Funding under this call will go to projects that select outstanding artefacts and/or works of art showcasing cultural movements of European significance.


Eligible applicants are Member States; or international organisations, Joint Undertakings or public or private undertakings and bodies established in Member States, with the agreement of the MS or EEA countries concerned.

CEF Synergy

Proposals submitted under this call shall pursue the general and specific objectives set out in the work programme. The general objective is to support actions contributing to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, in line with the Europe 2020 strategy, as well as enabling the Union to achieve its sustainable development targets through the creation of synergies between the transport and energy sectors, in line with the infrastructure components and requirements as set out in the TEN-T Guidelines (including all maps) and TEN-E Guidelines.

Synergy actions shall contribute tot achieving the following specific objectives:


i) Transport sector Ensuring sustainable and efficient transport systems in the long run, with a view o preparing for expected future transport flows, as well as enabling all modes of transport to be decarbonised through supporting a transition to innovative low-carbon and energy-efficient transport technologies and systems, while optimising safety.


ii) Energy sector Increasing competitiveness by promoting the further integration of the internal energy market and the interoperability of electricity and gas networks across borders; support projects promoting the interconnection of networks; removing internal constraints; decreasing energy isolation; increasing the interconnectivity in electricity and achieving price convergence between the energy markets.

Applications may be submitted by one or more Member States, or by international organisations, joint undertakings, or public/private bodies with the agreement of the Member States concerned.
